How to Change the Footer Text

The footer text at the bottom of Apex says, "Apex WordPress Theme by Compete Themes" and includes a link to competethemes.com.

While we appreciate maintaining the link to our site, with Apex you can change the footer text to whatever you'd like.

To change the footer text:

  1. Visit the Customizer (Appearance → Customize)
  2. Click on the Footer Text section
  3. Add your new footer text to the textarea
  4. Click the Save & Publish button to save your changes

The footer text you add will replace the default text and now display on your site.

Note: you can use any HTML allowed in blog posts in the footer text including links, bolded text, and line-breaks.
