How to Check Your WordPress Version

Sometimes you need to check the current version of WordPress you’re using.

This information is easy to find if you know where to look. In this post, you’ll learn exactly where you can find your WordPress version.

How to Find Your WordPress Version

First, login to your site’s dashboard. Then, scroll down to the bottom of the page.

At the bottom-right corner, you’ll see the version of WordPress your site is using displayed:

This number is visible on every page of your admin dashboard.

Learn More About Your Version of WordPress

If for some reason the version isn’t displayed at the bottom of the page, or you need more information about your version, there is somewhere else you can look.

Hover your mouse over the WordPress logo at the very left of the admin toolbar. You’ll see a few links appear. Click on the About WordPress link.

On the next page, you’ll see your current version of WordPress prominently displayed at the top. There is also information about the changes in the current version you can review.
